More house pictures

We are set to move into the house on Tuesday. We probably won't stay there for the first few days, because the carpet won't be in. This means we can't set up the kids bedrooms, playroom, or the office. Everything is looking good. Hopefully they will be able to paint the outside soon. We have been pushing them to finish the inside first, so the outside has been a little neglected. The house now has it's front steps and stone on the outside. It looks really nice. Maybe I will have even more updated pictures later.

House with stone. The stone is wet so it looks darker.Closer look at the front.
Our countertops are installed!!So are our appliances!

The hardwood is mostly done. We ran out with about 50 sq. ft. to go. UGHH!

New pictures of the kids

I have been writing so much about the house lately I thought I needed to add some pictures of the kids. Grayson is still doing well potty training. Mommy and Daddy have been a little busy lately, so we kind have been neglecting it some. Reagan is now 9 months old. She is pulling up on everything and is starting to get brave enough to cruise a little bit. She's still not crawling, but gets around good enough. If she keeps up the way she's been going she will have some strong arm muscles! It's a modified scoot. Right leg behind her, left leg in front of her and scoots with her arms.

Another step closer

Our cabinets are installed throughout the house. Final touchups are being put on the paint. Our ceiling in the living room should be put in sometime this week. It's all coming together. Let's just hope the interior of our house will be finished by the 20th. This is when the movers are coming. I think that I might have a mental breakdown before then! Here are some pictures of our cabinets, etc. Everything is hickory with a natural finish.
The kitchen
The living room. The fireplace will have stone on the hearth and up to the cabinet.
My front door. The stain turned out darker than I would have liked. Oh well!
Grayson playing peek a boo in the pantry, which is located in the laundry room.
Hanging out in Reagan's room.

House Sold!!

We sold our house!!! Yeah!!! They want to close on Feb. 15th. BAD!! We're trying to see if they will let us close two weeks later. This way we will no for sure that the interior of our new house will be complete. The 15th is pushing it!! Our kitchen cabinets will be in by Tuesday, countertops are hopefully going in the next week. Our hardwood floor will start being laid as soon as the cabinets go in. I guess I'm going to have to turn into a slave driver. :-) I'll keep you posted.

Potty training

We have started the initial process of potty training Grayson. We won't be doing it "hardcore" until this summer when it will be easier. Right now in the evenings we put his big boy pants on and take him to the potty every 30 minutes. This evening we are so far 1-1. Oh well, he made it once! Here's a picture of him in his 2nd pair of big boy pants.

New House pictures

More pictures will be coming next week. Next week they are finishing the outside of the house (paint, etc if weather cooperates), and installing our cabinets!! It's very exciting!!
This is my dining room.

Our kitchen. Our table and chairs will be under this light. The door on the left is the entry to the Master bed/bath. The door on the right goes out to the screened porch.

The kids are playing in a little cubby in one of the spare bedrooms. In the future a TV, etc. can be placed in it.

Mark is acting goofy! My kitchen is red, the living room and hall is a gold. You can see a little of the exposed wooden beams. There are 2. Once it's finished there will be a wood ceiling, natural stain.

This is the tile in the master shower. Mark is proud that he can say that he helped to lay this tile. Our friend the Tile Man did this job. It looks better in person. All bathrooms and the laundry room will have the same color tile on the floors.
