Today
Grayson has surgery to receive his second set of tubes and to remove his adenoids. He is doing very well. The surgery was performed at the hospital where Mark works so of course Mark knew everyone.
Grayson was the center of attention once we arrived. We had people in and out just to say hi and some to play with
Grayson. It was pretty funny to see some of the doctors and nurses carrying on with him. He had one nurse almost believing that we had let him eat pancakes this morning (he couldn't eat after midnight).
LOL! When it was time for him to be wheeled to surgery he raised his arms and said
WEEE as if he was on a roller coaster. Of course I had tears in my eyes. One would have thought he was in a parade with all of the people lining up the aisle telling him hi and bye. Afterwards he wasn't too happy with the IV. We kept telling him he couldn't get it out until he started drinking but he wasn't having that. Finally, one of the nurses said that he had won that battle and she removed it. As soon as she did he started drinking some apple juice. He slept on the way home and then we all climbed into Mommy's bed to watch a "dinosaur movie' (Land Before Time). Before the movie was over
Grayson was eating pizza and
breadsticks and back to his normal self. Since we have been home he has ate pizza,
breadsticks, pancakes, jello, yogurt, cheese balls, and candy. Of course not all in that order. Right now he is outside playing with our neighbor (nothing too
strenuous). I hope he continues to do well tonight and tomorrow. Reagan spent the night last night with Mark's parents and she's going to again tonight. We just want to make sure
Grayson gets lots of rest tonight and can sleep late tomorrow morning. With Reagan home everyone is up by 6:30 am at the latest! I will try to keep you posted!
